Coding for multiple browsers and other bits

May 10th, 2007 by Admin

I spent most of my lunch time trying to fix problems with the CanalPlan Insert code.

It worked fine in FireFox 2, didn’t appear at all in Opera and in Internet Explorer it worked but the Save/Publish options didn’t actually work.

So after a lot of hacking around (removing nested forms and removing duplicate submit buttons – which does some very interesting things!) I finally got it working.

Then I stupidly played round with the Cache settings – BIG mistake :(

I’m going to ask Nick to put in blog entries for his trip up the Weaver and round the Four Counties Ring and then we can check how well the integration back into CanalPlan works.

If it does work then I think we can move to a beta test and see if we can get a couple of other people blogging and see how it works
